When did people’s feelings (or our own) become more important than speaking the truth?

Where would we be if the Apostles had gone out “to make disciples of all nations, but really only the ones who were agreeable or wouldn’t get offended easily”?

Where would we be if the Early Church Fathers hadn’t fought tooth and nail to fend off heresy after heresy? “No big deal”, they might have said, “just be a good person”.

How ridiculous that sounds. Yet, similar messages are everywhere in Christianity today.

The truth has always mattered!

It still matters!

Nothing has changed except our fortitude (or lack there of).

“Christ said, “I am the Truth”; he did not say “I am the custom.”
